摘要

Hypereutectic silumins are the most promising material for the fabrication of automobile pistons not only by permanent-mold castings but also by means of die forging. Studies of the influence of heat treatment regimes of samples made of hypereutectic silumin Al-16 percent Si has shown that it is possible to substantially reduce the length of the period of homogenization of ingots serving as blanks for drop forging of pistons.
