On one method of formalization of a priori information in the study of the Bessemer process as a control object

The construction of well-formed mathematical models as one trend in the effort to improve the theory of pyrometallurgical processes is always of critical importance. The present authors have made an attempt to apply a "deductive" approach to the study of the kinetics of the Bessemer process through a combination of all the possible chemical reactions that occur in the melting bath, and a representation of these processes in formalized form, i.e., in graphical form.
