The method involves determining quality characteristics using an NMR technique, and directly measuring a moved sample in a production line. Inner and outer geometries of study objects are determined as the quality characteristics. A subpixel-process is used for geometry detection, where the study objects are made of polymer materials such as elastomers, duromers, thermoplastic elastomers, thermoplastics, metallic materials or textile materials. Physical characteristics such as crystallization or orientation are determined by the polymer materials. An independent claim is also included for a system for quality control of study objects manufactured in an extrusion process.
