Some of the most promising methods for beneficiation of fine-particle materials are based on hydrophobic aggregation of the particles of valuable minerals in a medium of two immiscible liquids. The effectiveness of the process increases under hydrothermal conditions.Analysis of the mathematical model of selective granulation of molybdenite extracted from middlings shows its speed increases with an increase in the content of molybdenum in the charge and with an increasing temperature.The obtained values of the apparent activation energy (29.43 and 18.21 kJ/mole in temperature intervals 70-114 and 114-190 deg C) verify the existing ideas on component interactions in mineral water-oil suspensions, that is, that these interactions are due to the underlying collision mechanism based on selective wetting.
