Exploring new routes

My methodology is simple: forget the rules, be absorbent, think 'what if, try it out, make mistakes and, if it still doesn't work, lay siege and try again. This has been my approach to my digitally designed intaglio imaging process. I didn't learn standard studio practice in ceramics at college, so I didn't learn any rules. I come from a sculptural background, having completed my Sculpture MA at Wimbledon School of Art. As a result, I have been occasionally guilty of trying to reinvent the wheel in the firm yet false belief that I was exploring unchartered territory. There are advantages in this approach - if you don't know what you can't achieve, then anything is possible.
