BRYONY BURN

Bryony Burn is a young artist with plenty of ideas.Surfaces are an important part of her work and Burn is inventive and playful in her approach to them. Spots, stripes, embossing, scraffito, lustre and even a loose sort of calligraphy is employed. Burn is thoughtful though, and juxtaposes the glazed gloss areas against the dry slips, giving the work depth. She also acknowledges the subtly embossed surface of the clay with her glaze/slip additions.
