First Mesogenic Derivative of Boron Difluoride β-Enaminoketonate

Boron difluoride complexes possessing liquid crystalline and luminescent properties were synthesized for the first time on the basis of non-mesogenic β-enaminoketones.Search for new photostable luminophores is an important problem of modern chemistry. Such properties are intrinsic to many organic derivatives of boron difluoride. In the recent time, new efficient luminophores have been reported, and relations between the chemical structure and luminescent properties of organic compounds have been considerably elucidated.
