Reaction of Isocyanatodiphenylphosphine with 3,4-Dichloro-5-hdyroxy=2(5H)-furanone. Crystal and Molecular Structure of the Reaction Product

Isocyanatodiphenylphosphine reacts with 3,4-dichloro-5-hydroxy-2(5H)-furanone (mucochloric acid) to form 3,4-dichloro-5-(diphenylphosphinoyl)-2(5H)-furanone. The crystal and molecular structure of the product was established by X-ray diffraction.
