Synthesis, Properties, and Biological Activity of 4-Hydroxy-2H-Pyran-2-ones and Their Derivatives

摘要

The review summarizes published data on the methods for preparation, chemical properties, and biological activity of 4-hydroxy-2H-pyran-2-ones and their derivatives. Despite the fact that the interest in the method of synthesis, structure, and properties of unsaturated 2H-pyran-2-ones has remained persistently strong over a period of more than four decades, some their derivatives, including 4-hydroxy-2H-pyran-2-ones, have been studied poorly.
