Reactions of methyl aminosulfenates with phenyl isocyanate lead to formation of methyl N-phenyl-N-(dialkylaminosulfenyl)carbamates as a result of insertion into the S-O bond. The process is accompanied by side trimerization of phenyl isocyanate. Methyl phenylcarbamate reacts with aminosulfenyl chlorides under mnild conditions in the presence oftriethylamine to give the corresponding methyl N-(dialkylaminosulfenyl)-carbamates in high yields
