Antioxidant Activities of Plants Extracts Produced by Microfiltration Process

This paper presents the ways of extraction and cross-flow nitration of the composition of 4 herbs. The plants investigated are: hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna), bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus L), rosehip (Rosa canina), and respectively chokeberry (Aronia melanocarpa). Antioxidative activities of plant extracts have been determined by two methods: DPPH free radical scavenging activity and reducing the power of extracts assays. The main problem in practical applications of microfiltration is the reduction of permeate flux with time, caused by the accumulation of feeding components in the membrane pores. This study was focused on finding new natural remedies in cardiovascular therapy. Anew natural product was obtained and studied.
