Simulation of Modular Guide Systems

The development of manufacturing depends on advances in the capabilities, flexibility, and quality of machine tools. A fruitful approach here is modular design. In this approach, the machine tool is regarded as a set of standardized mechanical, electronic, and mechatronic modules (motorized spindles, servo motors, guide systems, rotary tables, tractional systems, tool stores, revolving heads, numerical control systems, controllers, etc) harmoniously integrated into an overall mechatronic system.
