摘要

The use of a modular approach for the model development of large-scale dynamic systems has several important advantages which are discussed. Four modularization criteria are presented. When these criteria are combined in the definition of the borders of the system's modules, the result will be a set of well-designed easily maintainable modules with a low level of coupling between them. Even though these ideas originated during the development of a power plant model for an operator training simulator, they are applicable to a wide range of large scale dynamic system's models.
