Clapham Pottery is housed in an Edwardian chapel in Clapham Old Town, which it has rented from Lambeth Council for many years. Recently, we have been told that the building we use is to be sold off, so we launched the 'Keep Clay in Clapham' event to raise awareness and to raise money to buy the property. One of the North Street Potters, Naine Woodrow, who makes tableware for high-end restaurants like Le Gavroche, organised for celebrity chef Michel Roux Jr to front the campaign. It involved the potters, students, and friends of the not-for-profit community organisation and charity, which runs classes for all at our Edwardian chapel.
