By all indications, the global economic situation is poised to worsen in the coming days. There is no let-up in the Euro Zone crisis. The US economic recovery is slower than expected. The growth of China and India are the slowest in recent years. Naturally, the rubber industry is increasingly anxious over the impact of the slowdown. The Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries(ANRPC) has cautioned that although the demand and supply may more or less match each other during this year, the market is likely to continue its bearish mode on account of the continuing unfavourable trends in currency rates and crude oil.
