摘要

The Indian Budgets seldom evoked any interest among global investors till the recent past. Only a handful of analysts used to take interest and study its impact on their focus areas. The reasons were many. India was a closed economy. Its global trade had nothing much to boast of. Its poor infrastructure, inefficient systems and over-dependence on the Weather God for food security scared away potential investors. In fact, the country remained an untapped island of opportunities for years, despite its great potential.
