International Year of Chemistry 2011

On the behalf of the Publishers, the Editorial Board and the Editorial staff of the journal, we would like to wish you happy New Year 2011, which was declared by the 63rd General Assembly of the United Nations as the International Year of Chemistry (IYC). Chemistry has become fundamental to our existence. These days, humankind feels and understands the importance of chemistry, chemical materials and processes for the environment protection and sustainable development, provision of people with pure water and healthy foodstuffs, energy, effective pharmaceuticals and new methods for disease control and prevention.
