A study by Queiroz,et al,demonstrates that a statistically significant relationship exists between a country's economical well-being and its road infrastructure.A well-developed and well-maintained highway system is credited for improvements in access to goods and services,education and employment opportunities.The record in 1994 indicates that a person liying in Australia had,on average,access to 27-lane meters of paved road but only 16-lane centimeters for people in China.
