When you enter the Korean section of the British Museum, you will see two Moon Jars displayed by the windows. The Moon Jar is a type of traditional Korean white porcelain jar popularly made between the late seventeenth to mid-eighteenth century during the Choson dynasty (1392-1897). They were originally made for storing rice, soy sauce, and alcohols. According to the British Museum website, there are only twenty originals remaining in the world.1
