Soybean growers in several states are dealing with the aftermath of a "perfect storm" created by dicamba-resistant cotton and soybean varieties and illegal use of dicamba herbicide.The result is thousands of acres of crop injury and hundreds of complaints filed with regulatory officials in 10 states about off-target movement of illegally applied dicamba.Labels of currently registered dicamba products do not allow in-season over-the-top applications to Xtend crops, which have been genetically engineered to tolerate the herbicide.
