TRY SAYING "DODGE VIPER SRTIO COUPE and Dodge Ram SRTIO pickup" a few times and you'll soon realize why we resorted to calling these pavement-scorchers the Viper and the Viper truck. It's fair; both are Vipers at heart, powered by the familiar 505-cu.-in. V-10, a pushrod 20-valve aluminum-block powerplant that puts out 500 bhp in the truck and 510 bhp in the freer-breathing Viper. As for torque, the 5350-lb. Viper truck has 525 lb.-ft. of it, whereas the 3460-lb. Viper spins its massive 335-width rear tires with 535 lb.-ft. of its own.
