The 2010 Dodge Viper SRT10 was the last of a breed. A true original, Viper had more power than many drivers could handle and a preference for function over comfort. The next Viper will be built under Fiat stewardship and federal regulations will require traction control and an antiskid system-which should tame the beast considerably. Vipers have been built since 1992 and all stayed true to the basic formula of the concept first seen at the Detroit Auto Show in '89: a big V-10 engine shoe-horned into a small body.
