In the world of manufacturing, there's plenty of risk to go around. And while you can't eliminate risk completely, at times you can minimize it. One of those times is when you buy and install a pre-engineered, standardized robotic workcell to perform any number of applications, such as arc welding, assembly, machine tending, packaging and palletizing. The beauty of standardized workcells is they are the result of years of experience in an application rolled into a system that is as dose to a "turn the power on and go" machine as you can get. A typical arc-welding cell, for example, includes a robot (or two), robot controller, weld gun, power source, safety components and guarding. Standardized workcells have been built on the expertise that went into building hundreds of custom workcells to perform a specific task.
