Probably the most common question I get fellow gem artists-especially those who are new in the trade-is, "How do I price my artwork"? Whether your work is carved gems, cabo-chons, faceted stones, intarsia, jewelry or sculptures, there are several points you have to consider before placing a price tag on your work. Some are straight out costs, while others are comparative guidelines that you will have to keep in mind, such as how your work compares to other artists' work or to your previous work and the estimated rarity and value of your piece.
