摘要

At the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the LD steel-making process and under the motto "Steel gets together", an international conference was organized by VAI on June 26 and 27, 2002 in Linz. Eleven papers were presented in two sessions on various aspects of converter steelmaking. The participants were also invited to visit two LD shops recently modernized at Voest-Alpine Stahl.
