Just visit an airport these days and the risk becomes rather obvious, such as being asked to strip down to your undies and then told to put your valuables in a plastic bag! The value in this year's World Risk Survey can be found in two areas. Firstly, that a rising perception of risk produces a flight to quality - hence the return of Canada as preferred investment destination for exploration by Australian miners. Secondly, that the survey is pointing to the world entering a period of time in unchartered waters - a time when we all take stock of the future after four boom years.
