Cytec Uvekol~R FR & FR-C UV lamination resins for safety glass

Cytec have developed resin systems to give laminated glass impact and fire resistance. Uvekol FR~R is a mono-component acrylic resin manufactured to provide impact resistance to fire resistant borosilicate glass. Cytec say that it has performed well in EN1363 laboratory fire tests. Impact resistance was tested by pendulum impact according to the EN 12600 standard and for samples with a 5-1-4 and 5-1-5 (5mm glass, 1mm resin, 4mm or 5mm glass) compositions, it was reported that they achieved the highest category of resistance 1B1.
