SEPTEMBER PLA EXPORTS DROP NEARLY A THIRD

The United States exported 1,446 tonnes of polylactic acid (PLA) in September 2014, up from 1,374 a month earlier but 31.5% lower than in the same month last year, trade data showed. This brought total shipments in the first three quarters of 2014 to 24,820 tonnes, up 5.2% y/y.
