Mineralogical characterization of diamonds from Roosevelt Indigenous Reserve, Brazil, using non-destructive methods

In this study, 660 diamonds from Igarape Lajes Diggings (Roosevelt and Aripuana Park indigenous areas), in Amazonian craton, Rondtinia State, Brazil, were investigated. Their morphological, optical and surface characteristics were described using optical and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), cathodoluminescence (CL) and infrared spectroscopy (FTIR).
