Last month saw the opening of the new Chill Factor snow dome at Manchester's Trafford Quays. It is the UK's fifth indoor ski and snowboard arena, alongside those in Tamworth, Milton Keynes, Braehead in Glasgow and Castleford in Yorkshire, And there are more snowdomes on the way, with almost 20 sites across the UK in various stages of planning. New centres in Hemel Hempstead, Sheffield and Great Blakenham in Suffolk are likely to be open by the end of the decade.
