Ceramics based on cubic zirconia with addition of crushed granules of fused or rapidly cooled A1_2O_3 - ZrO_2 (Y_2O_3) eutectic are developed and their properties (shrinkage, open porosity, apparent density, bending strength, and grain size) determined. The ceramic composites can find use in the preparation of electrolyte material for high-temperature fuel cells.
