Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry allowed the direct determination of the extent of macrocyclic and linear oligomer formation in the palladium(0)-catalyzed allylation of highly acidic and non-nucleophilic arenesulfonamides, sulfamide, and cyanamide.
