The 'VAE ROADMASTER 2000' in the context of the Taiwan High-Speed Rail Project

The VAE ROADMASTER 2000 Turnout Monitoring System for the Taiwan High-Speed Rail Project is to monitor a total of 78 high-speed points over a distance of approximately 380 km. Several different types of points based on European technology are monitored, namely: JIS 60-10000/4000-1:33, JIS 60-4800/2450-1:26, JIS 60-3000/1500-1:18.132, JIS 60-1200-1:18.5, JIS 60-900-1:16, JIS 60-600-1:16 and JIS 60-300-1:9 ("JIS" is the Japanese profile corresponding to the UIC profile in Europe). The points in the range of 300-1:9 to 900-1:16 have fixed frogs, whereas those greater than 900-1:16 have movable frogs.
