Experience gained with laying slab tracking on the newly-built cologne-Rhine/main high-speed line

One hundred and fifty-five kilometres of slab track planned and laid represent the biggest installation of its kind in Germany. This first-hand report provides a wealth of information and recommendations concerning the transfer of know-how regarding the systems of slab track laid as well as problems of an engineering, contractual and logistic nature. Above all, however, it shares the new insights gained and the solutions found for ensuring compliance with the stringent quality demands.
