7-tesla small animal MR imaging.

A 7-tesla (T) small animal magnetic resonance (MR) scanner offers a challenging perspective to technologists with an interest in more than routine diagnostic imaging. An ambitious radiologic technologist working with a dedicated small animal MR scanner can be directly involved in the conduct of scientific research projects. The combination of a 7T Bruker ClinScan MR scanner (Bruker BioSpin MRI GmbH, Ettlingen, Germany) with a Siemens syngo (Siemens AG, Erlangen, Germany) user surface provides a straightforward tool for operating the system (see Figure 1).
