The passengers load in the cabin of a lift is to be measured and controlled for avoiding overloads because of safety reasons and EN 80-81 regulation. It is also important to reduce mechanical wear and "sawing effect" on ropes and pulleys because of unequal rope traction and to check if counterweight is correct for the cabin whose weight is not usually well known. An easy to install load control system with high long term reliability is requested by customers in order not to waste time and money.
