摘要

Henry I. "Hank" Yamamura passed away at his home in Tucson on September 4 2008 after a valiant battle with lung cancer. He is survived by his wife Susan and son Mark. Even while battling cancer over an 18-month period, he continued his research and scholarly activities and remained the eternal optimist. At a memorial service held on September 26 2008 at the Duval Auditorium of the College of Medicine of The University of Arizona family, colleagues, students, and fellows of Hank recounted the profound influence Hank had on their lives to the hundreds of persons who gathered to honor Hank's memory: http://streaming.biocom. arizona.edu/event/ ?id=21789.
