摘要

In Japan, low-cost type ultra long span suspension bridges are proposed for the Channel Crossing Projects. This paper deals with the flutter performance of a newly-proposed suspension bridge with a 2500m center span which has new cable system andone box cross section by using the multi-mode flutter analysis and the wind tunnel tests. In conclusion, the combined system of three main cables with diagonal stays and modified one box cross section gives good flutter performance of over 80m/s onsetvelocity.
