Counterfeit and unlicensed medicines and devices worth £15.8m have been seized in the UK as part of a global operation, according to the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). The seizures, the biggest recorded to date in the UK, include huge quantities of illegally supplied and potentially harmful slimming pills, plus tablets for erectile dysfunction, anaemia and narcolepsy. Unlicensed foreign medicines and fake condoms were also found and removed.
