摘要

Nothing is the same-nor will it ever be again, urs is ajjpw age, filled with a host of inspiring and challenging opportunities that, just a decade ago, were the stuff of science fiction" (Porter-O'Grady & Malloch, 2007, p.1). Who would have guessed that only a year ago the financial state of many countries in the world would be on the verge of collapse, or that so many people throughout the world would be without work, a paycheck or even a place to live? While we may consider these conditions to be common in underdeveloped countries, we never dreamed that it could occur in the more industrialized nations. Who would have ever guessed that new nurse graduates would have difficulty finding employment after graduation?
