Correction

In the recent article "Breaking the Repeat Teen Pregnancy Cycle" (Porter & Holness, 2011), the authors inaccurately referenced two articles by Koniak-Griffin and colleagues. The first cited study (Koniak-Griffin, Verzemnieks, Anderson, et al., 2003) did not discuss a Healthy Start Program, as implied in the article; rather the program described is the Early Intervention Program for Adolescent Mothers, which, according to Dr. Koniak-Griffin, is an evidence-based Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) model that is reimbursable under the Affordable Care Act of 2010. The other cited study (Koniak-Griffin, Lesser, Uman, & Nyamathi, 2003) examined predictors of unprotected sexual behavior among adolescent mothers; variables such as school performance, dating and parental monitoring were not studied, as implied.
