YMG to Hold Panel Session at Upcoming ANS Winter Meeting on Standards

The American Nuclear Society (ANS) Young Member Group is sponsoring a series of panel sessions to introduce Society members and attendees to ANS committees. The second installment is titled "ANS Standards and You" and will be held during the 2016 ANS Winter Meeting at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada, from Sunday, November 6, through Thursday, November 10. The panel is currently scheduled for the afternoon of Wednesday, November 9. Panelists will field questions and discuss their involvement in the ANS Standards Committee. ANS Standards Board Chair George Flanagan, who is also the chair of the committee responsible for the development of standards on research and advanced reactors, will be on hand to address questions. Gene Carpenter, chair of the committee responsible for the development of standards for large light water reactors, will also field questions. Additional panelists are in the process of being confirmed.
