摘要

The results on rho ' -decays based on analyses of data on e(+)e(-)-annihilation and tau -lepton decays stimulated a controversial discussion about the nature of the rho ' -states. Possibly, their nature can be clarified by comparing measured particle decay widths with model calculations. With this intension, we analyse Crystal Barrel data on (p) over barn-annihilation at rest into pi pi, 5 pi and K (K) over bar. The results suggest the rho (1450) to be the first radial excitation of the rho (770) ground state q (q) over bar -meson. But mixing with a hybrid state cannot be excluded. The rho (1700) is likely to be the first orbital excitation. [References: 12]
