摘要

A new region of chirality has been recently identified in the A ∼ 100 region following a series of experiments. Near degenerate doublet Delta I = 1 bands having identical intrinsic configuration and thus the same parity have been discovered in odd-odd 102Rh, 104Rh, 106Rh and in odd-A 103Rh and 105Rh isotopes. These doublet bands can all be understood in terms of geometrical picture, namely spontaneous formation of handedness or chirality in the body-fixed reference frame. The best example of this phenomenon thus far has been found in 104Rh with two Delta I = 1 bands built on the pig9/2⊗nu h11/2 configuration. Overall energy separation between the same spin states of the two bands is ≈50keV and a remarkable ∼2keV degeneracy was observed at spin I = 17-.;The experiments performed for each of the nuclei studied in this work are described. In order to establish the common configurations on which the partner bands are originating, an analysis of the multipolarities of the transitions linking the partner bands was performed.;Specific chirality observables established based on the existing experimental data in A ∼ 100 and A ∼ 130 regions were used to assert the stability of the chiral alignment of angular momenta for the nuclei discussed in this work. It was shown that the chiral rotators 104Rh and 105Rh are surrounded by nuclei with less stable chiral alignments 102Rh, 103Rh and 106Rh.
