摘要

Eleven different growing and heating supply systems for greenhouse rose production were evaluated on a technical, biological and economic basis. The main objective of the study was to compare the cost of year round production using supplementary lighting with that of seasonal production. Different ways of reducing heat losses by means of greenhouse insulation and different heat pump systems were also compared. The evaluation was made on the basis of calculations and simulations carried out over a one year production period, and covered the following areas: (1) Energy consumption and length of operation period; (2) the amount of photosynthetic active radiation provided and growth and yield obtained in the plants; (3) the economic result. The best economic result was obtained by using single-glazed greenhouses without any form of insulation and without a cooling system. This was especially evident at high lighting intensity levels and with application of CO2.
