Minimally Invasive Thoracic Corpectomy: 3-Dimensional Operative Video of a Posterolateral Approach to Decompression and Anterior Column Reconstruction

The goal of this 3-dimensional (3-D) operative video report is to demonstrate the technical nuances and intraoperative steps in a minimally invasive posterolateral approach to thoracic corpectomy and the reconstruction of the pathologic anterior column. A 3-D operative video from surgery in a 54-year-old female patient with stage IV breast cancer metastatic to the cervical and thoracic spine is presented. The patient had progressive lower-extremity dysfunction secondary to a significant T12 lytic mass lesion with an associated intracanal component causing significant cord compression.
