Permeability and Protective Properties of Polymeric Films and Coatings in Aqueous Ethylene-Glycol Medium

We have determined the parameters of mass transfer of the ingredients of 66 percent ethylene-glycol solution, containing aluminum and copper cations, through films of VL-515 enamel and F-2MSD fluoroplastic suspension. The barrier properties of films based on F-2MSD suspension are better than those of enamel films due to the mechanism of protective action of the former.
