The approach that a shop or installer takes when doing a big show-quality installation is something of a black art. Some go off past experience, building a car that is a variation on a past project. Others take just the opposite approach and, on purpose, won't do anything they have seen in a previous installation. A good shop will listen to the customer and see what he or she wants from their install and try to build on that.
