Range Boosts Well Performance In Super-Rich Marcellus Shale Play

Range Resources said its results in the super-rich wet gas segment of the prolific Marcellus Shale continued to improve during the first quarter, where the company is applying optimized drilling and completion techniques on new wells in previously-drilled areas. The Fort Worth-based independent highlighted a six-well pad it brought online during the quarter in the super-rich area with an average 24-hour initial production (IP) rate per well of 2,340 gross barrels of oil equivalent per day, of which 65% was condensate and natural gas liquids (NGLs).
