When FirstEnergy analyst Martin King released the investment bank's revised natural gas price outlook to 2017, little had changed. King modeled a 60 bump in the 2014 price to $4.36 and his 2015, 2016 and 2017 prices are unchanged at $4.25, $4.50 and $4.65, respectively. "North American natural gas prices are expected to hold under US $4.50 per million Btu for the near and medium term as the excesses of 2012 and 2013 have been brought back into balance in 2014," King said. "Rising demand growth should be met with just as robust supply growth for the next several years."
